What you share
is not all you say.

Encrypt a message in writing or an image, or share it as a Secret Link. Send the decoding key separately.

More options

Known, credited writing is the default. Paste an article only if you have permission to reuse it.

Paste your article or licensed excerpt

Choose your own excerpt above. Copying only the visible text loses the hidden data.

A random 256-bit key is ready; you can replace it with your own. Save it and share it separately. Your message and key go to the hidden.irish server for encryption; we do not store them.

Read a hidden message

Paste the encoded text or choose a picture, then enter the shared key.

Carrier

Paste the complete text. If another app removes invisible characters, use the portable encrypted token instead.

The picture stays on your device; only its recovered token and key go to hidden.irish. Cropping and heavy processing may destroy the message.

THE REVEAL Waiting for input

Your encoded text

The visible writing carries your encrypted message. Use Copy complete text to include the invisible part.

Your finished message will appear here after you press the seal.

DECODING KEY

Save and send the key through a separate channel. Anyone with the key and encoded text or image can read the message.

Frequently asked questions

How can I hide text in an image?

Choose Image and an artwork, enter your message and key, then download the picture. Share the key separately and test the copy received from the platform. Cropping and heavy processing can destroy the message.

Is it safe to share the decoding key?

Send the key separately from the encoded text or image, ideally through a different trusted channel. Anyone with both can read the message. A randomly generated key is stronger than a short personal phrase; hidden.irish cannot recover a lost key.

What is steganography?

Steganography is hiding the presence of a message inside something ordinary, such as writing or a picture. Encryption protects the message contents; hiding only disguises where it is. hidden.irish uses experimental hiding that may be detected or lost when the carrier is changed.

The key is never included. Send it separately. A token is encrypted but visible, not concealed.

Connect AI

Use your own OpenAI API key only for explicitly selected original writing or paid image generation. Known works need no AI key. OpenAI never receives your secret message, decoding key, or encrypted token.

The key stays only in this tab's memory and is sent to hidden.irish only when you choose AI generation. It clears when you reload or close the tab. Saving it does not verify it with OpenAI.
